Temporary Protected Status Extended for Somalia
WASHINGTON— Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson has extended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for eligible nationals of Somalia (and eligible individuals without nationality who last habitually resided in Somalia) for an additional 18 months, effective March 18, 2017, through Sept. 17, 2018.

USCIS Reaches the H-2B Cap for the First Half of Fiscal Year 2017
USCIS has received a sufficient number of petitions to reach the congressionally mandated H‑2B cap for the first half of fiscal year (FY) 2017. January 10, 2017 was the final receipt date for new H-2B worker petitions requesting an employment start date before April 1, 2017.
