This is Dr. Mahmoud Moharam, I am an assistant professor in the University of Science and Technology at Zewail City (founded by Nobel Laureate Dr. Ahmed Zewail). I want to ask about my possibility to apply for the National Waiver Program with your office. I had friends who applied for it with you and got the green card and now are US citizens. Below is a summary of the key points that could be essential for the evaluation process. - I earned my Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2017 - My Ph.D. project was funded from the United States Department of Energy - Currently, I am a Co-Investigator in another research project funded from the United States Department of Energy (this fund will last till 2024) - I have 25 articles (journal and conferences) published in different international scientific journals and conferences - I have 19 journal articles published in different international scientific journals - My total citations are 108 (70 not self citation and 38 self citation) - I had experience with implementing sophisticated measurement techniques for thermal hydraulics investigation to study passive safety systems in advanced nuclear reactors. - I had great experience in teaching under-and-postgraduate engineering courses. I was a lecturer for one semester at Missouri S&T University, and worked as a lecturer in different universities around the world such as: American University of the Middle East, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Arab Academy of Science and Technology, Alexandria University. I can provide recommendation letters from different professionals inside and outside the USA to highlight the importance of my work.

I am looking forward to hearing from you sooner of my following three questions: - With the details mentioned above, do these reach the level of applying for this program via your office? - How much will it cost to apply? - How long it will take from application to approval?

Hello,

Let me start with my question: Is it possible to port priority date from an existing employer sponsored EB2 petition to a new EB2 NIW petition ?

I am an Indian citizen with a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Univ. of Maryland College Park. I have a pending EB2 petition (approved I140) through my employer but am also exploring a self petitioned EB2 NIW application in parallel. I would like to understand if the earlier priority date from my employer sponsored petition can be ported to the NIW petition, if approved. Please advise.

Thank You Mathew
