Dear Sir,
This is kind of very urgent request, Please help me with my questions.
My citizenship interview based on my green card is scheduled on 1/20/22 at USCIS office in US.
Unfortunately, my mother(Indian citizen) staying in India passed away this morning. I need to go to India to perform her last rights. Does USCIS allow me to reschedule the interview date? If yes, how to contact them? Does rescheduling the interview date has negative impact on citizenship process further?
Thanks for your time. Hoping to hear at the earliest, I have flight tomorrow evening PST.
Regards
Raj

Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice to reschedule your appointment. There is no penalty if you reschedule your appointment."
