What exactly is interfiling?

You have an EB-2 approval and you decided you wanted to downgrade it to EB-3. You filed an I-140 for that and you applied with an I-485 with that because the dates for EB-3 were moving faster and they were current.

Now when you want to  move your application back to your EB-2 case you do something called interfiling.
