Revised Filing Addresses for Form I-600 and I-600A

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced new addresses for prospective adoptive parents to submit a Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative (Form I 600), and Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition (Form I 600A).  This filing address change takes effect immediately.

Applicants in the United States who are filing to adopt an orphan must submit Forms I 600, I 600A and all supporting documents and fees to the following addresses:

U.S. Postal Service

Express Mail and Courier Service deliveries

USCIS
P.O. Box 660088
Dallas, TX 75266

USCIS
ATTN: Adoption
2501 S. State Hwy. 121 Business,

Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will immediately forward mail from the Lewisville Post Office to the new post office in Dallas until December 31, 2009.  After that date, the USPS will forward any applications sent to the Lewisville Post Office box through normal channels which will likely delay receipt at the USCIS Dallas Lockbox Facility. Applicants filing Forms I-600 and I-600A through Express mail and courier services should note changes to the Lewisville street address.

U.S. citizens outside the United States may continue to file the Form I-600 at a U.S. Embassy, U.S. Consulate or USCIS office abroad that has jurisdiction. In order to file a Form I-600 petition abroad, the petitioner must have an approved Form I-600A and be physically present in the country where they are filing.

Applicants filing at the USCIS Dallas Lockbox facility may elect to receive an email and/or text message notifying you that your application has been accepted.  You must complete an E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance (Form G-1145), and attach it to the first page of your application.
