Reports that at least one service center has recently been asking for evidence of NSEERs registration on I-140 petitions as well as on I-765s and I-131s. Will these petitions/applications be placed on hold pending receipt of evidence of NSEERs registration? Feedback on “other” religious worker category sunsetting on September 30, 2003. Has the center given any direction to the service centers to expedite the processing of pending I-360s, I 360 appeals, and related I 485 adjustment applications so they have a chance of being adjudicated and the beneficiaries adjusted or immigrated before the sunset. The service centers are well aware of this issue. A memo has been drafted and is in concurrence. The centers would like to issue it sooner rather than later. The centers also advise that proposed bills to modify are on the hill. ISD was also advised that a number of people are working on religious worker cases at AAO.
