The Department Of State Posted Travel Warning for Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza

The Department of State has posted a Travel Warning for Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. The travel warning notes the deteriorating security situation in Israel, and warns U.S. citizens to defer travel to the area. The warning also urges American citizens in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza to follow certain precautions. American Consulate General dependents in Jerusalem have been authorized to depart voluntarily. The notice provides that the Embassy and Consulate General may temporarily suspend consular and other public services from time to time to review their security posture.

The full text of the travel warning can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/israel_warning.html
